阐明大脑生长发育的动态规律是神经科学领域的核心挑战,人类脑发育研究受伦理限制与技术壁垒制约,而与人类系统发育亲缘关系最近的非人灵长类,已成为脑科学转化研究不可或缺的核心模型。无创神经影像技术与猕猴模型的结合,更是破解人类脑发育机制的关键研究范式。

近日,暨南大学附属第一医院核医学科徐浩教授团队在国际核医学领域期刊《Journal of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging》(JNMMI)发表重磅综述,系统梳理了全球基于猕猴模型的脑发育神经影像学研究成果,为人类脑发育研究提供了重要的理论参考与方法学支撑。

A research team led by Professor Hao Xu from the First Affiliated Hospital of Jinan University has published a comprehensive review in Journal of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (JNMMI), focusing on neuroimaging advances in macaque brain development.

该研究全面解析了猕猴从胚胎期到老年期全生命周期中,全脑及各亚区结构、脑葡萄糖代谢功能的动态发育轨迹,深入阐释了脑发育过程中的性别二态性、大脑半球不对称性特征,以及脑发育与躯体生长的关联规律。同时,研究系统总结了MRI、PET等多模态神经影像技术在该领域的应用演进,梳理了适配猕猴脑研究的标准化模板与图谱工具发展历程,并结合团队大样本食蟹猴脑发育研究数据,明确了猕猴与人类脑发育模式的高度相似性。

Elucidating the dynamic patterns of human brain development remains a core challenge in neuroscience, limited by ethical constraints and technical obstacles. Non-human primates, especially macaques, are the most critical and irreplaceable models for translational neuroscience research. This review systematically summarizes global neuroimaging studies on macaque brain development, comprehensively revealing the lifespan trajectories of brain structural and glucose metabolic changes from the fetal period to old age. It further elaborates on the sexual dimorphism, hemispheric asymmetry of brain development, and the association between brain and somatic growth, while sorting out the evolution of multimodal neuroimaging techniques and standardized brain templates for macaque studies.

该综述首次完整构建了猕猴脑发育神经影像研究的体系化框架,不仅为规范非人灵长类脑影像研究方法提供了权威参考,更为人类正常脑发育机制解析、神经发育障碍与神经退行性疾病的临床前转化研究,搭建了关键的桥梁。

This work establishes a systematic framework for macaque brain developmental neuroimaging research, providing an indispensable reference for human brain development studies and translational research on neurological disorders.

Department of Nuclear Medicine, the First Affiliated Hospital of Jinan University, was established in 1981. It is a comprehensive professional department integrating diagnosis, treatment, teaching and scientific research. As the first doctoral program in nuclear medicine in Guangdong Province, it is also the leading unit of standardized training for resident physicians in nuclear medicine in Guangdong Province, the chairman unit of Guangdong Nuclear Medicine Innovation Consortium, a characteristic key discipline in Guangdong Province, a clinical key specialty in Guangdong Province, and a discipline with Zhujiang Scholar positions. It has ranked first in South China in the Fudan Specialty Ranking for six consecutive years. It has successively served as the national vice chairman unit of the Nuclear Medicine Physicians Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, the national standing committee member of the Nuclear Medicine Branch of the Chinese Medical Association and the chairman unit of the PET Group/Neuroimaging Group, the chairman unit of the Nuclear Medicine Branch of the Guangdong Medical Association, and the chairman unit of the Nuclear Medicine Physicians Branch of the Guangdong Medical Doctor Association, enjoying a high academic status in the national nuclear medicine community.

暨南大学附属第一医院核医学科具备国际一流的诊疗及研发转化平台,设有PET/CT-MRI多模态分子影像中心、单光子SPECT/CT诊断中心、核素治疗中心、放射性核药生产研发中心、DXA骨密度及幽门螺旋杆菌碳-13测试中心等五大诊疗中心。常规开展各种肿瘤、阿尔兹海默病、帕金森病、癫痫等神经精神疾病以及心脏疾病PET分子影像精准诊断,甲状腺、骨骼、肾脏、甲状旁腺、心脏等疾病SPECT功能影像检查;开展甲状腺疾病(甲癌、甲亢)碘-131治疗、骨转移瘤锶-89/镭-223治疗、前列腺癌及神经内分泌肿瘤镥-177治疗;多科室协同开展肝脏肿瘤钇-90微球选择性介入内照射治疗等。

Department of Nuclear Medicine, the First Affiliated Hospital of Jinan University, has a world-class diagnosis and treatment, research and development transformation platform, with five major diagnosis and treatment centers, including the PET/CT-MRI Multimodal Molecular Imaging Center, the Single-Photon SPECT/CT Diagnosis Center, the Radionuclide Therapy Center, the Radioactive Pharmaceutical Production and R&D Center, and the DXA Bone Density and Helicobacter Pylori Carbon-13 Testing Center. It routinely carries out precise PET molecular imaging diagnosis for various tumors, neuropsychiatric diseases such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease and epilepsy, as well as heart diseases; SPECT functional imaging examinations for thyroid, bone, kidney, parathyroid, heart and other diseases. It carries out iodine-131 treatment for thyroid diseases (thyroid cancer, hyperthyroidism), strontium-89/radium-223 treatment for bone metastases, and lutetium-177 treatment for prostate cancer and neuroendocrine tumors. It also carries out selective interventional internal radiation therapy with yttrium-90 microspheres for liver tumors in collaboration with multiple departments.
